I've never actually been to an auto show. Are they interesting?

I went last week, also my first show. It was really fun walking around and sitting in all the cars. It's the best way to get a look at cars! You'll have fun, and if you get hungry after, check out this restaurant by the verizon center called Nandos. It's amazing.
If you have any questions I can definitely try to help you out

Thanks, that sounds cool! I think I've been to the Nando's place a couple times before a while back. IIRC, it was really good. The idea of an auto show always sounded interesting, but I never actually got to one. Nice pic, by the way—some really rich dude down the street just traded in his V8 Vantage for an F-Type V8 S, which I know because he always leaves his garage open...

Cool! And be sure to pop the hoods on cars if you want to get a closer look. Sitting in the F type was awesome, I have plenty more pictures but all on my camera. It sucks that the coupe was blocked off, as I'm not that big of a vert guy.
Also, do you plan on doing any of the ride and drive events? I almost test drove an ATS but my hunger took over.

I went to the Atlanta Auto Show once, and swore I'd never go again.
First complaint was the price. I stood in line for an hour and paid $60 for us to get in. Wait what? I'm not the one trying to sell something here. Second complaint is the crowds of people. If I'm going to pay to look at your cars at least control the crowds so I can see them. If you let 5000 people in the building at the same time no one can see anything. Lastly the few cars I was excitied to see and sit in were roped off. I left disappointed thinking I could of seen the handful of cars for free at a dealership, and actually drive them too. IMO the auto shows are for non car people who are in the market for a new car, and actually want to sit in and compare every car from each manufacturer to narrow down a dozen to test drive. Someone whos not aware of each manufactuers offerings. For someone like me that keeps up auto news, knows the specs, and already has their next car choice narrowed down to 2 cars its kind of a waste of time.

I never ended up doing a ride and drive (or even popping the hoods), but I managed to run into a few extremely pro-manual transmission guys and shake hands with Biden, haha. Also, the girl at the Cherokee stand was incredibly hot. I've never seen so many people crowd around a midsize SUV before.

Cool! Sounds like you had a great time. Pretty cool that you got to meet Biden! I wonder what he thinks of the C7. And yes! I remember Cherokee girl.... We talked for a little bit and we agreed that the GC is a really nice SUV, and that the Cherokee is kind of odd looking to put it kindly haha.

It was pretty neat. The Corvette display drew quite a crowd (probably because Biden was looking at the C7 for 10 minutes). I never got to talk to Cherokee girl (damned platforms), but I had definitely never could have imagined so many middle aged guys walking past a Viper and Corvette to see a family SUV. Jeep did well as far as promoting the cars went, especially with the massive test drive area on the first floor. I was especially glad to see an autocross Miata and rally E30 by the Shelby Daytona.
